Long-Term Clinical Results with OSTA Maxigro™

Eight Years of Stable Bone and Functional Implant Support
Successful bone augmentation is ultimately measured by its ability to provide stable, long-term support for functional dental implants. This clinical case follows sites augmented with OSTA Maxigro™ from treatment and early integration through to an 8-year clinical and radiographic follow-up, where stable peri-implant bone levels and continued radiographic bone support around functioning implants were demonstrated.
From Augmentation to Long-Term Function

A Visible Change Over Time

Early integration was visible at the treated site.
The radiographic structure remained comparatively heterogeneous and the trabecular pattern had not yet reached its later appearance.
Eight years after treatment, the augmented area showed a denser, more homogeneous and organised radiographic appearance.
Stable crestal bone levels were maintained around the implants.
There was no peri-implant radiolucency or radiographic loss of bone support reported, and the patient remained clinically asymptomatic during the follow-up period.
6-Month Follow-Up
8-Year Follow-Up

Clinical Outcome - Eight Years After Augmentation
Stable crestal bone levels
Bone support remained visible around the functioning implants.
Maintained implant support
The implants remained functionally supported within the augmented sites.
No peri-implant radiolucency reported
No radiographic evidence of loss of bone support was reported during the long-term follow-up.
Patient remained asymptomatic
The clinical follow-up reported no symptoms associated with the treated sites.
Designed for Regeneration. Evaluated Over Time.
OSTA Maxigro™ is a purified mineral bone graft developed for bone regeneration in dental and maxillofacial applications.
The long-term clinical result presented here complements OSTA's preclinical and histological evidence by demonstrating how an augmented site can perform years after treatment.
